Overview

The Master’s programme will take place from November to December

Teaching articulation

  • 593 hours of lectures, exercises and exams
  • 1032 hours of self study
  • 400 hours of practical activities at the Hydrographic Institute and/or on the Naval Hydro-oceanographic Unit of the Navy or other Bodies
  • 150 hours of internship
  • 75 hours for the preparation of the final project work

🔵 Location: the headquarters of the Italian Hydrographic Institute (Passo Osservatorio 4, Genoa). Period: November 2023-November 2024


Study plan

The teaching content will comply with the syllabus submitted by the Hydrographic Institute and approved by the FIG/IHO/ICA International Board on Standards of Competence (IBSC) and dictated by the reference publication approved by the International Hydrographic Organization, IHO S5-A relating to training standards for "Category A level Hydrographic Surveyor" https://iho.int/uploads/user/pubs/standards/s-5/S-5A_Ed1.0.2.pdf
